We sent graduate students to Xi'an International Studies University(XISU) as a Japanese teacher.

Last autumn, Ikue Matsumoto, a master’s course second year student majoring in Japanese and Chinese literatures, went to Xi’an International Studies University (XISU)in China to work as a Japanese teacher.  This sending is based on the academic exchange agreement continuing over the past twenty years between XISU and KPU.  Naomi Kawai, a first year student in the same master’s course also started working as a Japanese teacher in XISU, which is not related to the exchange agreement.  Their term will be one year. Both of them are doing well and working hard to deepen our relationship.  We are going to tell you their fine performance in our homepage.

Additionally, Professor Yoshiyuki Yamazaki, department of Japanese and Chinese literature in faculty of letters gave an intensive course at the graduate school in XISU last September, which is based on the agreement as well.  It seemed to be a very motivating experience for the graduate students of XISU to get a chance to receive a full-scale Japanese classical literature.

Meanwhile XISU Professor Liu Jianqian who came to KPU on the basis of the agreement has been teaching Chinese actively in every faculty and also working on various things.

And the first two students who transferred to KPU from XISU are coming to the last year of the course and they are working on writing graduation theses. Their progress in academic work is remarkable. New students who will enter the 3rd grade from the next school year arrived last autumn.  The relationship between the universities is progressing successfully.

You can look forward to the future progress.
