ご家族・支援者に学ぶ薬物依存の回復とソーシャルワークの役割 Learning from Families and Practitioners in Social Work
薬物依存のある娘さんをもつ女性と 岐阜DARC施設長が「ソーシャルワークの理論と方法 I」に登壇 （公共政策学部 福祉社会学科）
ソーシャルワーク実践の基礎を学ぶ2回生の「ソーシャルワークの理論と方法 I」では、毎年各方面からゲスト講師をお招きしています。
今年度は「薬物依存」と「女性」に焦点を当て2週に亘ってお話を伺いました。
7月2日には、娘さんとの関係を通じて、薬物依存に向き合ってこられた女性をお迎えしました。授業ではこれまでの経過やその時々のお気持ちを丁寧に語ってくださり、また社会が親に求める責任のあり方や、成人した子どもとの距離の取り方についてもお話しくださいました。受講生からは「自分自身の親との関係を振り返るきっかけになった」との声が多く寄せられました。
続く7月9日には、男女両方を受け入れるDARCで、女性として初の施設長を務めてこられた遠山香さんをお迎えし、ご自身の薬物依存からの回復の過程、DARC立ち上げの経緯、そしてこの20年間の取り組みについてお話を伺いました。特に、施設設立にあたって不安もあったが、「女性がやることで助けられる人がいるから」と背中を押されたというエピソードに、多くの受講生が心を動かされ、自らの将来のキャリアを考える上で勇気づけられたとの感想が寄せられました。
お二方の貴重なご講義に、心より感謝申し上げます。

In the second-year course “Theory and Methods of Social Work I”, which introduces the foundations of social work practice, we invite guest speakers from various fields each year.
This year, over the course of two weeks, we focused on the themes of drug dependence and women, and welcomed two guest lecturers.
On July 2, we heard from a woman who has faced the challenges of drug dependence through her relationship with her daughter.
She reflected thoughtfully on her experiences and emotions, and also spoke about the responsibilities society places on parents and how to navigate relationships with adult children.
Many students commented that her talk encouraged them to reflect on their own relationships with their parents.
The following week, on July 9, we welcomed Ms. Kaori Toyama, the first woman to serve as director of a DARC facility that accepts both men and women.
She spoke about her recovery from drug dependence, the process of establishing DARC in Gifu, and the initiatives she has led over the past 20 years.
One episode in particular resonated deeply with students: although she initially felt uncertain about founding the facility, someone encouraged her by saying,
“Because you’re a woman, there are people who will be helped by what you do.”
Many students shared that this message moved them and gave them courage to think more positively about their own future careers.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to both speakers for their invaluable lectures.
