本学では、今年度より精神保健福祉士養成課程の新規受け入れを停止しましたが、2回生以上の学生は、引き続き国家資格の取得に向けた学びに取り組んでいます。また、現場で活躍する本学卒業生を対象とした卒後教育も継続して実施しています。
今回は、卒後教育の新たな試みとして、ソーシャルワーク実践から生まれた問いを研究へと発展させる力を養うことを目的に、講演とワークショップを開催しました。
講師としてお迎えした河野静香先生は、本学の卒業生でもあります。当日は、ご自身の卒業研究を出発点に、現在に至るまでの研究の歩みをご紹介いただくとともに、ソーシャルワーク実践の中で生じる漠然とした疑問や問題意識を言語化し、研究につながる問いへと発展させるための視点や方法をお話しいただきました。さらに、5名の参加者（会場3名、オンライン2名）がそれぞれ持ち寄った「リサーチクエスチョンの種」について、一人ひとりに丁寧にコメントをいただきました。
5時間にわたるプログラムでしたが、瞬く間に終了時刻を迎えました。「研究」という言葉に気後れしがちな現場のソーシャルワーカーにとって、研究への大切な第一歩となりました。
As part of a new initiative in continuing professional education, we held a lecture and workshop aimed at developing the skills needed to transform questions and concerns arising from social work practice into research.
We were pleased to welcome Dr. Shizuka Kono as our guest lecturer; she is also an alumna of our university. Beginning with her own undergraduate thesis, Dr. Kono traced the development of her research up to the present day. She also discussed perspectives and approaches for articulating the vague questions and concerns that arise in social work practice and developing them into researchable questions. Furthermore, she provided thoughtful, individualized feedback on the “seeds of research questions” brought by each of the five participants (three in person and two online).
Although the program lasted five hours, the time flew by. For social workers in the field—who may feel daunted by the word “research”—this seemed to mark an important first step toward engaging in research.
